I've always been fasonated with the fiji mermaid, So I figured I should make a replica :) I made this one of of a cheap skeleton from Walmart and Paper Mache. The scale is about 14 inches.

I made him from wire, newspapers, glue, a little clay and some liquid latex. I got this idea from a stuffed animal I used to have when I was a kid. It was a very awkward looking stuffed animal, this is why the figures proportions is so exaggerated. I felt like this paper mache was the best way to capture what I wanted, because it had such an organic feel.
